HUD 101: Accessibility, Compliance, HUD, and Your Property Webinar

Part of the Lumina Compliance Lunch & Learn Webinar Series, viewers will learn what the most common areas of non-compliance are at U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) properties, what the current accessibility regulations are at HUD properties, and why your property needs to be proactive and have accessibility plans. Lumina Partners CEO Greg Proctor and Lumina Compliance Vice President Andy Reithel join us on this webinar.

In this webinar, Greg and Andy dive into the Fair Housing Act, the Fair Housing Amendments Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and how these rules and regulations apply to HUD properties.

Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 applies to all HUD assisted properties. ADA applies to the property as well if there is a leasing office or other amenity open to the general public. FHAA also applies if the property was built after March 1991. Watch this webinar to find out how these acts apply to everything from van-accessible spaces to accessible building entrances to bathroom grab bars.
